Plot:
In a not too distant future, some 30 years after the last war, a man in solitude through the wasteland that once was America. Around him, deserted cities, highways cut, field dried up - the signs of catastrophic destruction. There is no civilization, no law. The roads are in the hands of gangs that would kill a man just to take off their shoes, or a bit 'of water ... but even without reason. But they can not do anything against this passenger. Warrior not by choice but by necessity, Eli (Denzel Washington) seeks only peace, but if he is challenged eliminate opponents before they even notice fatal error they have committed. It is not defending his life so fiercely, but the hope for the future, a hope that carries and protects for 30 years and is determined to achieve. Driven by this commitment and guided by faith in something bigger than himself, Eli does what he must to survive - and moves on. Just another man in the world in ruins includes Eli has the power, and is determined to seize it: Carnegie (Gary Oldman), the despot of a precarious city of thieves and killers. But the adopted daughter of Carnegie, Solara (Mila Kunis) is fascinated by Eli for another reason, the vision of something that can exist beyond the boundaries of the territory dominated by her stepfather.
